Come to think of it......

Bogs Dancel invited me (guess it was a group message for ACM members) through text to condole with the Baquiran Family. The text invitation says that the meeting place should be at the Santuario de San Vicente de Paul, 7pm, it was timely on my part because it was a holiday in Lipa so I can join the group visit. I was the first one to arrive at the meeting place so I ask the guard if there was such a meeting of ACM but the guard on duty said that there was no arrangement of that sort.

Prior to that, while passing at the Tandang Sora Market looking by the cab’s window I saw an announcement written on a piece of black cloth name of “Roosevelt Baquiran” leading to narrow street, I suspected that to be the residence of the Baquirans.

So I decided to go on my own to that street and luckily I found the house in time for the mass being celebrated by Fr. Rey Garcia, CM. I saw the grim face of Jeffrey Baquiran standing side by side with the brothers and some relatives while I was at the back seated together with other sympathizers. Jonjon Sacdalan came with his famous smile and joke antics and behaved himself forcefully while the mass goes on.

After the mass, this was very touching for me where all ACM Brothers readily hug our dear brother Jeff in that time of bereavement. Bogs Dancel, Warren Apostol, Gerry Perdido, Dino and Jonjon Sacdalan comforted our former President Jeff Baquiran of that very sad situation where I really felt how that father was so loved by the family members. I was recalling the exact word I heard from Jeff, iyan kasi masyadong masipag si Daddy, kahit minsan dina maisipan kumain, makapagtrabaho lang para sa amin.

Whew….. What an ideal father to me. Jeff must be very lucky to have a father like Roosevelt Baquiran, the sacrifices and perhaps the offering of love made the three sons more close to one another.

Brothers, I am very much inspired with the way we help one another in anytime, in any occasion or situation. Readily, through text there is no question about the brotherhood we have gained inside the seminary is working in each person. Like siblings in a real sense of a family we can afford to share and affirm our solidarity to our brothers in whatever situation or circumstances.

Come to think of it…..Ika nga walang kaplastikan, we can always count on our ACM Brothers because they are brothers, no ifs and buts…… saan ka pa?

To all our VINCENTION FORMATORS whom we owe a lot for taking time, energy in fulfilling the mission of Christ manifested to the great Father Vincent.

MARAMING SALAMAT PO.

Let us all continue to be the source of inspiration to others.
